By ‘Stuff’ I mean just one thing. When you were growing up, the only people recycling things were Hollywood executives. In the 1980s, when you were finished drinking your Pepsi, Coke, or Cott, you took the can, laid it on the ground and stepped on it, flattening it into an environmentally-harmless aluminum disk and then tossed it in the trash.

These days, however, you would be ostracized and shunned by the public like Paris Hilton if you threw a can in the garbage. Instead, you rinse and recycle it. Your mom had no can recycling wisdom to pass on, so here I am to do it for her.

Don’t rinse the can with hot water!
