Firsts

Now that I’m in my 30s, I find that most of the major ‘firsts’ in life are over with. I’ve bought my first house, first car, first job, had my first graduation, first girlfriend, and first sex (woo-hoo!). So now I have to focus more on the secondary firsts. Here are a few firsts that I’ve had in recent weeks:

  • Yesterday: my first niece was born
  • August: saw my first hummingbird
  • July: Listened to Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours in its entirety for the first time.

As you can see, the fun never stops. I think I’m gonna start writing these down, and try to have a first of some sort every week.

A New Abbrev.

Perhaps you’ve heard of ‘i18n’, an abbreviation for internationalization. Well I’ve come up with a new abbreviation: m10n, which I encourage you to use in place of the word masturbation. For the uninitiated, that’s m, followed by 10 letters, then n. Why abbreviate it? Because it’s too hard to type. Especially with one hand. There you go, my contribution to western civilization.

Oh and by the way, this is exclusively a gift to you. I would never need to use the word myself of course.

A Tiny Suburban

Here’s an interesting one. It’s not a sign per se, but instead is the search results for all small cars at gmcanada.com. You got your Solstice, Wave, Ion, oh and your 9-seating Chevy Suburban.
